Elevator Pitch 3

1. 2. My feedback wasn't helpful much to me because I wasn't told anything that would help me change my elevator pitch, although I did appreciate the kind words. I also didn't include a reflection, but it was because didn't have anything to reflect on for the 2nd elevator pitch because I didn't submit my first elevator pitch. 3. I personal changed my position because I felt that the way I was sitting and the lighting of the room really hindered my pitch and didn't make it sound appealing. I kept what I was saying the same though. I wrote down what I wanted to say and both times read it off the paper. I think when presenting an elevator pitch in person, it's different than presenting while being recorded. There is an extra element of knowing that you are being watched, or will be watched on the camera and it adds nerves.

Reading

1. The general idea of Mindset: The New Psychology of Success is how to constantly grow as a person in life and have a good mindset about things. It teaches you to correctly think clearly about situations and obstacles in life. 2. This enhanced my learning with ENT 3003 because it teaches me to never give up. It is a helpful entrepreneurship because it allows an aspiring entrepreneur to focus on the changes and growth they've made as a person rather than the failures they've approach. Even with the class, if I didn't do an assignment, I usually dwell on that and it brings down my whole mood. After reading the book, it taught me to change my perspective and that my success isn't based on accomplishments, but rather personal solutions with situations. 3. An assignment I would design for the class would be one of a personal reflection. I would make students pay attention to the way they speak; to make sure they don't gloat about intelligence or knowledge that they h...

Growing Social Capital

1. Joseph Magiera is a successful restaurant owner. He has multiple restaurants across the Tri-State area. He is my domain expert. He knows all about satisfying a customer so that they will continue to return. He tells me that the customer is always right. Keeping the customers happy and satisfied no matter the cost will benefit you in the long run. I met Mr. Magiera through my cousin who works in a couple of his establishments. She has set us up on business meetings via Skype because we both have plans to open our own business and he has been helpful in getting us started. 2. Patricia Mancusco is a bar owner in Rome. She is my expert on the market. She runs the local bar near my dorm. She is available to speak with me on my business ventures on Tuesdays because she is busy doing other things throughout the week. I met her while out with friends one night. She is extremely knowledgable on all aspects of my idea, the drinks, atmosphere, marketing, and location. She has some great ideas...

Idea Napkin 2

1. I am a lover of travel, food, and experiences. I love to find hidden treasures that are of high quality in a town. I aspire to have a restaurant of my own in the future and believe this would be a good idea to invest in because of my love for traveling. This business concept would enable me to combine the two things I love/ aspire to do together. It would give me a reason to travel more to manage my business. 2. I will solve my customer's unmet need of a good American club in Rome by creating a club and serving quality drinks for cheaper, playing good music, and having a dress code. This will create a better experience for my clients. 3. My business concept is for study abroad students of Rome. They are of ages 18 to 22. They are all party goers and have budgets set for their travels, so they are looking for cheap thrills. 4. Every night going out is a let down for study abroad students because they expect more than they get. The clubs dubbed "American" are run by I...

Customer Avatar

Image
My customer avatar is a 19 year old girl who is outgoing, adventurous, and open to new things. She may be young, but she acts and feels a whole lot older. She likes to dance and listen to music that is popular. Her hobbies include traveling and photography. She doesn't drive abroad, but if she did, her vehicle of choice would be a sly blue Vespa. She binge watches Netflix-- specifically serial killer documentaries. She is an independent and creative thinker. She loves different cultures and people. Her favorite book is Under the Tuscan Sun. She loves volunteering and helping people. I have a lot in common with the customer avatar, because I am the customer avatar. I am a study abroad student who enjoys a lot of these things. I don't think it is a coincidence that I am very closely related to the customer avatar, because people with the same characteristics, personalities, and interests tend to stick together. Of those who study abroad, a lot of them are extremely similar due ...

Secret Sauce

1. I am unique for this entrepreneurship venture because I am an American study abroad student. I understand the struggles of wanting to find a place to go out to and being disappointed in my experience time after time. I am also from New York and have been to the major clubs in the city. I also go to UF and know what the average college party-going student is looking for in a club/bar. As a female, I know how unsafe an unfamiliar place can be and I can make accommodations for girls looking for a safe location. As a marketing major, I am able to find ways to spread the word and attract people to my club from the different universities abroad. 2. Shawn says I am focused on what I want. He says I know how to argue and get what I want. Iris thinks I have always had good ideas. She thinks I'd make a good lawyer because I know how to present facts in my favor. Leo thinks that I am capable and bright. He says I don't back down from getting what I want. Sonny thinks I have a good hea...

Figuring out buyer behavior 2

1. When deciding where to go for a night out, Josh and Rosie care about price, they want to spend as much time at one place, without having to go to a place before hand because it's cheaper. Carly doesn't mind paying more at one club if it is exclusive enough. Although, if all her friends were going to one place because they have their budget in mind, she would join them. 2. Consumers must go in to experience a club, it cannot be offered virtually. Carly and Rosie are most likely to use card because they are scared to lose their wallets if brought, but Josh doesn't mind cash. Ideally they would use cash to limit their spending, but cards are more convenient. 3. Purchase in this case depends on experience. Josh and Rosie are likely to spend more if they are enjoying their time and are willing to stay til close. Carly on the other hand limits her intake, but would still purchase a drink or two regardless. 4. Low pricing for drinks, maybe student discounts or discounted da...
