Customer Avatar
My customer avatar is a 19 year old girl who is outgoing, adventurous, and open to new things. She may be young, but she acts and feels a whole lot older. She likes to dance and listen to music that is popular. Her hobbies include traveling and photography. She doesn't drive abroad, but if she did, her vehicle of choice would be a sly blue Vespa. She binge watches Netflix-- specifically serial killer documentaries. She is an independent and creative thinker. She loves different cultures and people. Her favorite book is Under the Tuscan Sun. She loves volunteering and helping people.
I have a lot in common with the customer avatar, because I am the customer avatar. I am a study abroad student who enjoys a lot of these things. I don't think it is a coincidence that I am very closely related to the customer avatar, because people with the same characteristics, personalities, and interests tend to stick together. Of those who study abroad, a lot of them are extremely similar due to the responsibility and independence and study abroad requires/ develops in a person.

Adi,
ReplyDeleteYour customer avatar description paints a very vivid picture of what you think your customer base will be like! Students who study abroad are definitely similar because of the amount of responsibility that everyone must develop. You're right in that often our customer avatars are similar to us in a lot of ways, and this is probably because the ideas we come up with are often the solutions to our own problems.
