Halfway reflection

To keep up with the requirements of the course, I had to set a schedule for myself and become organized. I had to write down all the due dates of the assignments and cupcakes. This was difficult for me because it is always something I struggled with, but in turn became extremely helpful. It taught me how to be on top of things and it ensured that I had written things down so that I would not forget them.
I felt like giving up actually after the first couple assignments because I realized I submitted my part B but had forgotten to submit my blog. I was so mad at myself for being so careless and it made me upset that I was disorganized, but I realized that one grade would not affect my overall success in the class and that I could still pull through and do well. My tenaciousness has become even stronger because I am able to continue to push through to achieve the grades I want to get. It has taught me to be organized and to focus for the following assignments and make sure I do what I need to in order to succeed.
I would tell the upcoming students to 1. get organized, it will help you not only with this class, but also generally in life. 2. Keep focused on what you're looking to achieve, there may be obstacles such as not handing in an assignment, but small set backs only make you push yourself harder. And 3. Be hard on yourself; if you are losing sight of what you want, have a serious talk with yourself. Slacking off is unacceptable and will only cause more problems. If you begin to make excuses for yourself, your outcome won't compare to what you desire.

  1. Hi Adi,
I can totally relate to the feelings of being disorganized, always playing catch up in this class, and even feeling like wanting to give up. I too lost point for a misshape with submitting the link but, we learn from our mistakes. I like the advice you give, mentioning to stay focused, be organized, and don’t slack off.
